Maciek Wszelaki is an award winning writer/director. He was born in Poland and graduated from the prestigious VCA Film School in Melbourne, Australia. His directing work ranges from award winning TV commercials and documentaries, to drama. His projects have received 5 AFI nominations (Australian Oscars) and won 3 of them including Best Director for Original Schtick (which premiered at Sundance).

 

Characterized by his keen eye, Maciek'’s work is tight, often humorous and seems effortless. His story telling approach translates through the lens as an integral part of what he creates. His methods evoke natural performances and make memorable films and campaigns.

 

Maciek is currently developing a feature thriller "White Elephant". His screenplay received development support from Screen Australia and was selected to the prestigious ScriptEast Lab which took place in Poland and at the Berlin and Cannes Film Festivals.
